Les Bumpers

Les Bumpers has worked in the technology industry since 2002. From 2002 to 2005, they worked as a Software Engineer at Alion Science and Technology, where they were responsible for full lifecycle, web-based application development using "plain old java objects", jsp and servlets, as well as database development with Oracle 9i. Les also handled graphics design, infrastructure design, and implementation using Java Model 1 and Model 2 methodologies. From 2005 to 2007, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, where they were involved in full stack, web based application and database development using Oracle PL/SQL 9i and 10g, client interface, software development using PL/SQL, functional requirements documentation, interface design, Apache, MySQL, PHP, and Joomla! server setup. From 2007 to 2013, they worked at Aegis Mobile as Chief Technology Officer, Vice President Technology, Director of Data Operations, and Principal Data Architect. As Vice President, they established current and long-range technology strategy for products, solutions, and infrastructure to provide effective and efficient delivery of those services in order to meet business goals. As Director of Data Operations, they pursued projects to help realize the vision set by executive leadership for new technology integration and migration, information security, continuity of operations, and service availability and performance. As Principal Data Architect, they were responsible for designing and implementing enterprise wide data architecture and data security.

Les Bumpers obtained an Advanced Diploma from The Jackson Academy in 1997. Les then attended the University of South Alabama from 1997 to 2002, earning a B.S. in Computer and Information Science. In 1998 and 1999, they attended Coastal Alabama Community College. In 2018, they began pursuing a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Alabama Mitchell College of Business, which they completed in 2020. Additionally, they obtained an A+ certification from CompTIA in November 2000 and a Certified SAFe 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in March 2020.
