Joost van Schagen

Joost van Schagen has a strong background in communications, with experience in various leadership roles. Joost currently works as a Communications Business Partner in the Health division at Bayer. Previously, Joost served as the Head of Communications Europe at Aegon Asset Management, where they provided strategic advice to the Global CEO and Management Board. Joost also played a key role in organizing and leading the company's editorial board and thought leadership agenda. Before that, Joost held the position of Head of Global Communications, where they developed and implemented the company's comprehensive communication strategy. Prior to their tenure at Aegon, Joost worked as the Head of Internal Communications Europe at Avery Dennison, where they oversaw crisis communications and restructuring efforts. Joost started their career at Atos, where they served as the Director of Global Internal Communications and later as the Manager of Global Employee Communications. At Atos, they played a crucial role in managing communication during mergers and acquisitions and implementing employee engagement initiatives on a global scale.

Joost van Schagen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science & Technology from HAS green academy in the years 1990-1995. Joost then pursued a Master of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Greenwich in the years 1995-1996.
