Tim van der Heijden

Tim van der Heijden's work experience includes various roles in risk management and consulting. Tim is currently working as the Head of Risk Governance at Aegon Asset Management. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Enterprise Risk Support Functions at the same company. Before joining Aegon, Tim worked as a Senior Operational Risk Manager at MN, where they led a risk change initiative. Tim also gained experience as a Risk Manager Europe at Assurant and as a Risk Consultant at CERRIX, focusing on GRC software implementation and consulting for financial services clients. Tim began their career at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. where they held multiple positions, including Consultant Corporate Alignment, Operational Risk Specialist, and Risk Management Trainee. Tim also has experience in leadership roles, having served as the Chairman of the Board at T.S.V. Plato and Chairman at Tilburg Studenten Festival. Tim's educational background includes their involvement as a University Council Representative at Tilburg University.

Tim van der Heijden has a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Tilburg University, which they obtained between 2006 and 2010. Tim then pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration from the same university, completing it from 2010 to 2013. In addition, Tim also briefly studied International Relations and National Security Studies at Corvinus University of Budapest in 2010. Prior to their university education, Tim completed a Pré-University degree in Economics and Society at 2College Wandelboslaan between 1999 and 2005.
