Colm Garvey is a seasoned actuary with extensive experience in various sectors of the insurance and finance industries. Currently serving as Principal Actuary in the Group Transformation Office at Aegon since November 2016, Colm has held multiple principal actuarial roles, including Financial & Capital Strategies and Risk & Financial Reporting. Prior experience includes a contract position at Atradius from December 2015 to October 2016, focusing on Solvency II compliance, and a five-year tenure at KPMG Ireland, where Colm provided actuarial consulting for international (re)insurance clients and led reserve reviews. Earlier, Colm worked at Mercer from October 2006 to June 2010, managing pension scheme engagements and overseeing actuarial calculations. Colm is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Financial Mathematics from University College Cork.
