Corien M. Wortmann-Kool is a Dutch business executive and politician. Corien is currently the Director at Aegon. Corien has also served as the Vice President of EPP Party and as a Member of Jury Nl Business Women of the Year Award.
Wortmann-Kool started their career in the financial sector, working for Autoriteit Financiële Markten and Pensioenfonds ABP. Corien then moved to the NGO sector, serving as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board for Save the Children Nederland. In 2013, they returned to the corporate world, joining Kadaster as Vice Chairman Supervisory Board.
In 2019, Wortmann-Kool was appointed as Co-Chair of the High Level Expert Group on Capital Markets Union by the Ministers of Finance of France, Germany and the Netherlands.
Corien M. Wortmann-Kool has a corporate governance program from Nyenrode Business University and a degree in political science from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam).
