Jul Genis

Jul Genis has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Jul started their career at Jewish National Fund as a Senior Engineer, where they worked from 2000 to 2006. After that, they joined Citi and held several positions, including Associate VP, Infrastructure Engineering Lead (Corporate Technology Infrastructure), VP, Web Engineering Group Manager (Corporate and Investment Banking), Senior VP, Engineering Group Manager (Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory Division), and Senior VP, Head of Infrastructure Estate Management. At Citi, they led various teams and played a crucial role in transforming solution architecture, IT operations, site reliability, and cyber security risk management. Jul then worked as a Strategy Consultant at Bank of America for a few months in 2023 before joining Aegon in 2024 as the Senior Director of Technology. Overall, Jul Genis has proven their expertise and leadership skills in technology, strategy, and infrastructure management throughout their career.

Jul Genis attended St. John's University from 1996 to 2000, where they studied Computer Science. They then went on to attend the Computer Career Center from 2000 to 2001, earning a degree in LAN/WAN Administration in the field of Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services.

In addition to their formal education, Jul Genis has obtained several certifications and completed various training courses. These certifications include the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C01) Cert Prep series, Apache Kafka Essential Training: Getting Started (2021), Generative AI for Business Leaders, Learning Kubernetes, Learning ITIL, Becoming an Impactful and Influential Leader, Multipliers: How the Best Leaders Make Everyone Smarter (Blinkist Summary), Rules for Rising Leaders, and UX DesignOps: Working with Developers.
