Lucas Hutschemakers

Lucas Hutschemakers has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Lucas currently works at Aegon as an Associate Vice President in the M&A - Corporate Development team, where they are responsible for advising the company's management on strategic decisions and executing M&A deals. Lucas is also a Board Member of Young Aegon, involved in organizing events and facilitating personal growth within the company.

Prior to Aegon, Lucas worked at NIBC Bank as an Associate in the Growth & Leveraged Finance team, providing leveraged loans and corporate loan transactions to mid-sized companies. Lucas was also a Board Member of Young NIBC, organizing events and promoting connections among colleagues. Lucas previously worked at EY Montesquieu as a Senior Advisor in Debt Advisory, helping clients secure investments and manage financial risks.

In between their professional roles, Lucas took a break to travel the world for 15 months, visiting 22 countries across five continents to broaden their perspective and gain insights into different cultures.

Lucas Hutschemakers received a Master's degree in International Business with a Finance Track from Maastricht University in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Business from the same university in 2014. During their undergraduate studies, they also participated in an exchange program at Charles University in 2013. Lucas completed their secondary education at Porta Mosana, where they obtained a VWO TTO Diploma with a focus on E&M in 2011. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained an International Business - Finance Master Degree from Maastricht University and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from the International Baccalaureate.
