Franco Cimatti has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Franco also served as the Vehicle Concepts and Predevelopment Director, reporting to the CTO, and contributed to the company's strategic planning. Cimatti began their tenure at Ferrari as the Manager of the Road Testing Department, overseeing all road testing development and production release activities, starting in April 1990.

Their early career includes roles as an Engine Development Engineer at FCA - Fiat Chrysler Automobiles from January to June 1986, an Engine Design and Development Engineer at KOHLER Engines EMEA from September 1983 to May 1984, and a Teacher at ACS International Schools from October 1982 to May 1983.

In addition to their professional experience, Cimatti has also served as a professor at Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia, teaching courses on automotive design from February 2016 to June 2018.

Franco CIMATTI's education history began in 1972 when they attended Liceo Scientifico G.B. Grassi in Saronno (VA), Italy. However, no specific degree or field of study is provided for this period. In May 1981, they obtained the certification of Engineer In Training from the State of Georgia in the USA. Later, from 1981 to 1982, Franco CIMATTI pursued further education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree with a focus on engineering design and product development.
