Dan George

Dan George serves as an executive finance consultant to Aelan. Mr. George has more than twenty years of financial expertise working with private and publicly traded companies.

Mr. George started his financial consulting practice after serving as Vice President of Finance for Avinger (AVGR). He spearheaded Avinger's preparation for its successful public offering while managing the finance, accounting and customer service functions. Before Avinger, he served as a consultant and Vice President of Finance for ApniCure, a venture-backed medical device company. Prior to Apnicure, Mr. George worked for Avantis Medical Systems, a venture-backed manufacturer of visualization technology where he was both a consultant and Chief Financial Officer.

He was also the Sr. Director of Finance at FoxHollow Technologies (FOXH aquired by EVVV; COV; MDT) where he played an integral role in the company’s public offering and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. He began his career working for PricewaterhouseCoopers in the assurance and business advisory practice. He holds B.S. degrees in both Accounting and Finance from California State University, Long Beach.
