Sofia Ribeiro

Sofia Ribeiro has a long history of work experience in the design field. Sofia began as a Graphic Designer at Jpereirinha - publicidade digital lda. in 2006. Sofia then moved on to LEIKEN in 2010, where they held the role of Graphic Designer, Marketing, and Project Management. In 2014, they joined Mindbury Consulting as a Graphic Designer. Sofia then took on the role of Senior Graphic Designer at QA Publicidade in 2017. That same year, they also began working as a UX & UI Designer Freelancer. In 2019, they joined COCUS Portugal as a UI/UX Designer, where they improved user experience and designed optimized interfaces for the TUI Travelling app. Currently, they are the Head of Design and Lead Designer at AELER Technologies SA.

Sofia Ribeiro has a Design Degree from Universidade de Aveiro, which they obtained from 2002 to 2006. Sofia also attended Escola Artística Soares dos Reis from 1999 to 2002. In 2014, they completed a Bookbinding Workshop at loja! criatividade, and they have also attended a Workshop on Photography and Development B/W. In 2018, they completed a Workshop Agile Project Management with Scrum at EDIT. - Disruptive Digital Education, as well as a Workshop Design Systems com Catarina Garcia and a Workshop 8h User Centered Design Methodology Prototype in sketch and validate with users. Most recently, they obtained a Certified Mobile UX & UI Design Specialist from XDi – Experience Design Institute in 2019.
