Alex Hunt, PMP

Alex Hunt, PMP has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to firmware engineering, hardware management, project management, and IT systems.

At AEM, Alex is currently serving as the Director of Firmware Engineering, where their responsibilities include implementing an Agile/SCRUM methodology, managing firmware teams, coordinating with hardware directors, and leading engineering management of change activities across the organization.

Prior to AEM, Alex worked at Forest Technology Solutions as a Hardware/Firmware Manager and Product Project Manager. As the Hardware/Firmware Manager, they focused on building and maintaining high-performing teams, implementing Agile/SCRUM methodologies, and revamping Jira ticket hierarchy and workflows. In their role as the Product Project Manager, they assisted the engineering department with critical projects and firmware developments, including facilitating the shift to Agile and SCRUM, arranging training, and rewriting project backlogs.

Alex also has experience at Cadex Electronics, where they served as the Software/Firmware Manager, responsible for team management, upgrading existing codebases, and developing embedded firmware. Alex also worked as a Project Manager, collaborating with OEM customers, tracking schedules, reporting progress, and coordinating with subcontract suppliers. Additionally, they held the position of Senior Research Engineer and R&D Team Lead, managing a project to redesign a tester device.

Furthermore, Alex co-founded Wow Factor Lifetime Experiences, LLC, where they served as the Managing Director of IT Systems and Marketing, facilitating business between vacation rental properties and charity benefit auctions. Alex also worked as the Director of IT Systems at the Brendan Lillis Words Foundation.

Alex started their career at ERCO Worldwide as a Cell Line Operator, responsible for operating electrochemical cell lines and managing power consumption and chemical tolerance ranges.

Alex Hunt, PMP has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing Science with a major in Computing Science and an extended minor in Psychology from Simon Fraser University. Additionally, they have obtained an Associates Degree in Chemistry and an Associates Degree in Psychology from Douglas College.
