Mark Steger is a seasoned professional in risk and compliance management, currently serving as the Group Manager of Risk and Compliance at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) since December 2023. Previously, Mark held the position of Director - Governance, Risk & Compliance at PwC Australia from January 2020 to December 2023, where leadership was provided for national enterprise risk management and risk transformation initiatives for major ASX clients. Mark's extensive experience includes roles at Huawei Technologies as a Senior Expert in internal audit, where significant transformations in governance and risk were implemented, as well as positions at nbn™ Australia, Cisco Systems, and Qantas Airways, among others. Mark holds an MBA from The University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Business in Human Resource Management from the University of Southern Queensland.
