Irene Gracia Lacarra has an extensive work experience in the aviation industry and international relations. Irene has held various roles at Aena, starting as an International Policy Manager in 2001 and later becoming Head of Airport Marketing and International Relations. Irene played a significant role in the airport marketing department, leading the team and contributing to the growth of Aena's international presence. Additionally, Irene has been involved in global aviation organizations, including ACI Europe and ACI World, where they served as Vice Chair of the Policy Committee and a member of the World Airport Slot Board, respectively. Apart from their work in the aviation sector, Irene has also worked as a lawyer at Despacho de Abogados Gomez de Liaño and as a professor in Master de Turismo Internacional de Turespaña at EOI Escuela de Organización Industrial.
Irene Gracia Lacarra has a diverse education history. In 1992, they attended Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where they obtained a Licenciada degree in Derecho (Law) in 1997. Additionally, in 1995, they studied at Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) and received a Diplôme de Droit Français in 1996. In 2016-2017, they participated in the Promociona Women Executive Programme at Esade. Lastly, in 2018, they did a PDD program at IESE Business School.
