Director Corporate Quality Compliance at Aenova Group GmbH

Dr. Klaus Buchweitz has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. From 2020 to present, they have served as the Director Corporate Quality Compliance at Aenova Holding GmbH, where they are responsible for the Global Operational Compliance department. Dr. Klaus also held the position of Quality Site Head a.i. at Swiss Caps GmbH from 2020 to 2021, leading the Quality Unit and managing a remediation program and inspection readiness project.

Prior to their time at Aenova, Dr. Buchweitz worked at Sandoz from 2011 to 2020, holding several roles including ESO QA Lead Novartis Technical Operations, Senior Manager Global QA Material Supplies, and Global QA Head Third Party Management Biopharmaceuticals. During their tenure at Novartis, they implemented QA oversight processes, supported local QA units, and played a key role in enhancing material quality.

Before joining Sandoz, Dr. Buchweitz served as the Director Quality Assurance (QA Site Head) at Amgen Research (Munich) GmbH from 2007 to 2011, ensuring compliance with GCP, GLP, and GMP regulations. Prior to that, they held QA leadership positions at Apogenix AG, Morphochem AG, Micro Carrier Systems GmbH, and G.O.T. Therapeutices GmbH.

Dr. Buchweitz began their career as a Scientific Assistant at Fraunhofer IAP from 1996 to 2000. Dr. Klaus has a strong background in quality assurance and compliance, with experience in a wide range of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and regulations.

Dr. Klaus Buchweitz obtained their State Examination in Pharmazie from Freie Universität Berlin in 2000. Dr. Klaus also earned a Doctor of Chemistry degree from Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymeric Chemistry during the same period. In 2007, they completed the GMP Base Course Biotechnology at European Compliance Academy. Dr. Buchweitz pursued further education in the field of Pharmaceutics, obtaining certifications as a GMP, GLP, and GCP auditor from Multiple Institutes between 2003 and 2012. Additionally, they received training in GxP Regulations during the same period.
