Mia Perdomo

CEO & Co-Founder at Aequales

Mia Perdomo is the current CEO of Aequales in Colombia. Mia has worked for several organizations including Telefonica, the Colombian Ministry of National Education, and the United Nations. In their role at Aequales, Mia is responsible for leading the company's efforts to promote gender equality in the workplace.

Mia has always been passionate about human rights and social justice. Mia first became interested in these issues while they were still in school. After completing their undergraduate degree, they decided to pursue a career in this field.

Mia's first job was as an intern at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights at the United Nations. This experience gave their a solid foundation in international human rights law. Mia then went on to work for Telefonica as an external consultant, conducting research on the company's child labor eradication strategy.

In 2012, Mia took a position with the Colombian Ministry of National Education, where they worked on a citizenship education program. This experience allowed their to see firsthand the challenges and opportunities that exist in promoting social change at a national level.

In their current role as CEO of Aequales, Mia is focused on increasing gender equality in the workplace in Colombia. Mia is committed to making Aequales a leader in promoting gender equality and women's empowerment in the country.

Mia Perdomo has a diverse educational background, which includes a degree in business from Columbia University, a certificate in leadership and development from Georgetown University, and a master's degree in human rights from the London School of Economics. Mia also has a degree in psychology from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and an International Baccalaureate in bilingual diploma from Colegio Anglo-colombiano.
