Niklas Sandqvist serves as the co-Secretary General of the European Digital Finance Association since September 2021, leading the executive committee while ensuring operational stability. As a member of EuroCommerce's Payments Committee and chair of its working group, Sandqvist advocates for the regulatory impact of the PSR on retail. Additionally, as a Board Member for Europe in the Global Fintech Alliance, Sandqvist represents European interests in a global fintech network. As a co-founder and board member of Fintech Norway, and VP of Stakeholder Relations at Aera Payment & Identification, responsibilities include improving the retail industry's market conditions. Sandqvist co-founded Nordic Regtech Solutions AS to promote data-driven industry collaborations and contributes as a strategic advisory group member for standard development related to data protection. Past experience includes leading the Secure Payment Task Force for the Federal Reserve System and advising Bits AS on corporate governance and process management.
