Amy Suter serves as the Regional Program Manager for the Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee since July 2021, bringing a wealth of experience from previous roles in security and technology management. Prior work includes serving as Security Manager and Event Security Coordinator for the Seattle Mariners from March 2015 to July 2021. Amy's extensive background in technology is highlighted by a tenure at Microsoft from January 2000 to November 2013, where responsibilities included Release Manager overseeing the release process for various platforms, and SDET roles focused on DirectX development and Windows OS game compatibility. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Western Washington University, completed in 1994.
AJAC | Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeships
AJAC launched in 2008 with an investment from Washington State to skill-up the aerospace and advanced manufacturing workforce through registered apprenticeship. AJAC developed and implemented 13 high-growth, in-demand apprenticeship occupations to serve a variety of demographics, industries, and companies across the state. AJAC serves approximately 400 apprentices per year at close to 300 companies, partnering with 12 community colleges to ensure that all apprentices are receiving college credits while working towards a journey-level certificate.
