Andrea Barbagelata

Andrea Barbagelata is an experienced professional in the aerospace, security, and defense sectors with a strong background in strategic engagement and management. Currently serving as an SMEs Counselor at the Aerospace, Security and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) since April 2024, Andrea previously held various leadership roles at Leonardo, including Vice President for EU and NATO Strategic Engagement and Vice President for Strategy and Competitive Analysis in the Leonardo Electronic Division. Prior experiences include serving as CEO and General Manager at Abu Dhabi Systems Integrated and Amministratore Delegato at Electron Italia, focusing on restructuring and strategic marketing. Andrea has also held executive positions at CEng - C. Engineering and T4tech S.r.l., alongside a general management role at D'Appolonia. Andrea holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Laurea in Engineering from Universita' degli Studi di Genova.
