Cédric Dumoulin has nine years of work experience in the field of aerospace engineering and research. Cédric currently works as an Aerospace Engineer at Aerospacelab, starting in April 2021. Prior to this, Cédric worked at Université libre de Bruxelles, where they held multiple roles. From January 2020 to April 2021, they were a Postdoctoral researcher, advising on finite element models for model reduction and state-space model generation. Cédric was also involved in LabVIEW development for data acquisition and contributed to the design of the active seismic isolation system for the E-TEST project. From January 2018 to December 2019, Cédric worked as a Researcher-Entrepreneur, conducting business opportunity analysis and market research for a Spin-off based on real-time concrete monitoring. Cédric also developed and installed an automated monitoring system in a tunnel in Brussels. Additionally, they conducted in-situ testing of a prototype in a precast company to optimize production phases.
Cédric's previous roles at Université libre de Bruxelles include a Postdoctoral Researcher role from May 2017 to December 2017, where they focused on concrete monitoring and ultrasonic transducers. Cédric was involved in the development and optimization of a new generation of embedded ultrasonic transducers for concrete monitoring and conducted finite element models of piezoelectric materials and homogenization of piezo-composites. Prior to that, they worked as a PhD Student and F.R.S-FNRS Research Fellow from October 2012 to May 2017, specializing in concrete monitoring and ultrasonic transducers. In summary, Cédric has a diverse background in aerospace engineering and research, with expertise in finite element modeling, seismic isolation systems, concrete monitoring, and ultrasonic transducers.
Cédric Dumoulin has a strong educational background in civil engineering, primarily from the Université libre de Bruxelles. Cédric completed their Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at the university from 2007 to 2010. Following that, they pursued further studies and obtained their Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the same institution between 2010 and 2012. Upon completing their Master's degree, they continued their academic journey at the Université libre de Bruxelles and successfully obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering, completing this highest level of education between 2012 and 2017.
