Michael Nunes

Michael Nunes is an Internal Mechanical Engineer at AerospaceNU, where responsibilities include designing a parafoil recovery system for a single-stage rocket to enhance landing safety and reusability. In addition, Michael serves as Treasurer for AerospaceNU, managing budget allocations and financial records. As a Career Peer Mentor at Northeastern University, Michael assists students in securing co-op and full-time positions while providing personalized feedback on application materials. Experience as a Residential Assistant involves fostering community and managing crisis situations. Michael has worked as a Hardware Engineer at Amazon Robotics, contributing to efficiency-enhancing projects, and previously held various roles in customer service and leadership, including a TOM Fellow position focused on affordable technology innovations for societal betterment. Michael founded Geosphere, a non-profit aimed at promoting environmentally friendly initiatives. Currently pursuing a degree at Northeastern University, Michael has a background in both engineering and community support.
