Ronen Botzer

Ronen Botzer has a diverse work experience in various technology-focused roles. Ronen began their career at Grey Zone, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and led the team for a CMS product using PHP. During this time, they also developed a UTF-8 encoder/decoder for PHP4.

Following this, Ronen worked as a Web Developer at Mediacode, where they created and maintained websites for both the company and its partners. Ronen then joined McGirr Technologies as a Software Engineer, working on online tax applications for the New South Wales government.

Ronen later joined Pioneers of the Inevitable as a Web Engineer, contributing to the Songbird website and creating the initial metrics collection system for the Songbird player. Ronen continued their career at VideoEgg as a Senior Software Engineer, leading a team responsible for developing a content review system for video approval.

Afterwards, Ronen worked at Project Playlist as a Data Engineer, providing business intelligence and reports based on user and player usage data. Ronen then joined Aptana, where they served as a Software Engineer and implemented a system for collecting and analyzing usage of Aptana's IDE product.

Ronen then moved to Appcelerator as an Analytics Lead Engineer, scaling the company's analytics product for Titanium developers. Ronen subsequently joined QuickPay Corporation as a Server-Side Architect, re-architecting the server software and API used by various client platforms.

Currently, Ronen holds a position at Aerospike, Inc. as the Director of Product. Ronen previously worked as a Solutions Architect, collaborating with customers to optimize the utilization of Aerospike's NoSQL database server.

Throughout their career, Ronen has demonstrated expertise in a wide range of technologies, including Ruby, Python, PHP, SQL, Apache, MySQL, Oracle, JavaScript, and various cloud platforms. Ronen'sexperience spans from start-ups to established companies, showcasing their versatility and adaptability in the tech industry.

Ronen Botzer obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they studied from 1999 to 2003.
