ILIA Artemidze

Product Innovation Team Lead at AeroTEC

ILIA Artemidze has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. They began their career at Epic Aircraft as a Design/ Stress Engineer in 2004. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Design/Stress Engineer at ECRW (Electric Car Repair Works - Tbilisi) and later at Tbilisi Aircraft Manufacturing. In 2008, they briefly worked as a Design Engineer at Sakkalakproekti (Civil engineering and consulting).

In 2009, ILIA became the Vice President and Owner of Advanced Engineering Group Ltd., where they managed the engineering and manufacturing aspects of the company. They were involved in various projects including designing and manufacturing equipment for gold mining and performing maintenance and upgrades at Mtatsminda amusement park in Tbilisi. They also collaborated with the Mining Institute to design and test a system for the protection of people from explosions in underground structures, sponsored by NATO.

From 2010 to 2015, ILIA worked as a Design/Stress Engineer at Triton Aerospace. In this role, they were responsible for design and stress analysis tasks.

Since 2015, ILIA has been working at AeroTEC - Aerospace Testing Engineering & Certification Inc. They started as a Product Development Engineer, where they were involved in flight test equipment design, flight test instrumentation support, and composite and metal airframe design. They later took on the role of Product Development Lead and currently serve as the Product Innovation Team Lead.

ILIA Artemidze's education history is as follows:

- In 1988 to 1999, ILIA Artemidze attended Tbilisi 190 school and received a high school diploma.

- From 1999 to 2004, ILIA Artemidze pursued a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering at Georgian Technical University, Aviation Institute.

- In 2013, ILIA Artemidze participated in a Composite Structure Engineering Technology program at Wichita State University.

- In 2015, ILIA Artemidze completed a course in Aircraft Structural Loads: Requirements, Analysis, Testing and Certification at The University of Kansas.

- In 2021, ILIA Artemidze enrolled in a Systems Engineering program at MIT xPRO.

- ILIA Artemidze continued the Systems Engineering program at MIT xPRO in 2021 and 2022.

- In 2022, ILIA Artemidze acquired additional certifications from MIT xPRO, namely "Models in Engineering" in December and "Model-Based Systems Engineering: Documentation and Analysis" in February.

- In 2022, ILIA Artemidze received a certification in "Architecture and Systems Engineering: Models and Methods to Manage Complex Systems" from MIT xPRO.

- In 2023, ILIA Artemidze obtained certifications including "Certificate: Managing Yourself and Leading Others" from Professional Development - Harvard Division of Continuing Education and "Private Pilot (ASEL)" from FAA.
