James Hamilton

James Hamilton is a mechanical engineer with extensive experience in various engineering roles. Currently working at AeroVironment since October 2022, James previously served as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Applied Minds from April 2018 to October 2022, and as a Reliability Engineer at Advanced Sterilization Products from June 2017 to April 2018, where James focused on root cause analysis and reliability verification. James conducted research on soot formation at Caltech under Prof. Guillaume Blanquart and also served as a teaching assistant in the mechanical shop, redesigning courses and teaching safety techniques. James's early experience includes internships at Sunair Electronics, where design and test fixture development took place, and at Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience, involving independent lab work. James holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering from Caltech.
