Jared Melton

Jared Melton has extensive experience in public safety and emergency services, currently serving as a Customer Service Technician IV at AeroVironment since March 2022. Prior to this role, Jared Melton dedicated over 17 years to law enforcement, primarily with the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, where duties included managing the Search & Rescue program and serving as Planning Section Chief during multiple disasters. Earlier experience with the Monterey County Sheriff's Office involved roles in both the Custody and Operations Divisions, and prior firefighting experience was gained at Higgins Fire District. Jared Melton also completed specialized training as a Hazardous Devices Technician and has a background in education from Sierra College and Bear River High.
