Michael Fillman

Michael Fillman is an accomplished Aeromechanics Engineer specializing in aerodynamics, currently serving as the Aerodynamics Lead for the small UAS organization at AeroVironment since November 2018. In this role, Michael provides technical leadership and mentoring across multiple sites, ensuring high-quality technical outputs and design reviews. Prior to AeroVironment, Michael worked at Boeing for over eight years, contributing to advanced concepts and flight test programs as an Aerodynamics Engineer. Additionally, Michael has experience from Intel, where significant productivity improvements were achieved, and as a graduate research assistant at Arizona State University, focusing on UAV control systems. Michael holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, respectively, from Arizona State University.
