Oliver B. Martin

Oliver B. Martin is an experienced aerospace and software engineering professional with a diverse background in autonomous systems and controls. Currently serving as Sr. Manager of Software and Controls at AeroVironment since August 2022, Oliver previously held key positions including Director of Product at Planck Aerosystems, where innovative technology was developed for UAV navigation, and Chief Systems Engineer and Hardware Manager at Brain Corporation, focusing on self-driving technology for mobile robots. Oliver's extensive experience also includes pivotal roles at Sierra Nevada Corporation, where significant aerospace control systems were designed, and a research associate position at MIT, contributing to advanced technology proposals for NASA. Oliver holds a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from MIT and a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering and Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
