Brandi Davis-Handy

Brandi Davis-Handy is the current Chief Public Relations Officer for AES Ohio. Brandi has over 18 years of experience in Communications, including Enterprise Communications and Events, and has worked extensively in both the public and private sector.

Brandi started their career in 1997 as an on-air radio personality for WHOV 88.1 FM. Brandi transitioned into news reporting in 2001, working first for WECT News and then Spectrum Reach (formerly Time Warner Cable Media) from 2003-2005. In 2006, they became the Communications Manager for the 500 Festival, a not-for-profit organization that produces and manages a series of events leading up to the Indianapolis 500.

In 2010, Brandi was recruited by the American Cancer Society to serve as their Communications Manager for the Great Lakes Division. Brandi oversaw all aspects of internal and external communications for a four-state region, including media relations, crisis communications, event planning, and executive thought leadership.

In 2013, Brandi returned to The AES Corporation - a Fortune 500 company that specializes in power generation and distribution - where they served as Communications Leader for their US Utilities sector. During their five-year tenure, they were responsible for leading the communications strategy and execution for one of AES' largest business units.

Most recently, Brandi served as Vice President of Enterprise Communications and Events at OneAmerica, a financial services company based in Indianapolis. In this role, they led a team of 15+ communicators

Brandi Davis-Handy attended Lawrence Central High School and then Hampton University, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Arts.

Their manager is Kristina Lund, President & CEO. Brandi Davis-Handy works with Ahmed Pasha - CFO, Antonio Narvaez - Chief Information Officer, and Kathy Storm - VP, US Smart Grid & Sr. Director, AES Ohio T&D Operations.
