Douglas Norman

Douglas Norman has extensive experience in market operations and system management within the energy sector. Currently serving as Supervisor of Market Operations at The AES Corporation since December 2018, Douglas oversees real-time dispatching and monitoring of generation assets while coordinating with regional authorities. Prior roles at The AES Corporation include Generation Operator III and Hourly Trader I-II, where responsibilities encompassed economic dispatch of power plants and execution of financial trades. Douglas also gained foundational experience as an Associate System Operator at Duke Energy Corporation, where training focused on system operation qualifications. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a minor in Operations Management from Wright State University.
