German Pichardo

German Pichardo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Regional Director of Commercial Structuring & Analytics at The AES Corporation since January 2005. Pichardo focuses on evaluating new business opportunities, product structuring, and developing commercial strategies for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean while managing a portfolio of energy generation and natural gas (LNG). Prior roles at AES include Gerente Estructuración & Analítica Comercial and Especialista Planificación Comercial, contributing to business evaluation, product structuring, and commercial strategy analysis. Pichardo holds an Applied Data Science Program certificate from MIT Professional Education and multiple advanced degrees, including a Master’s in Energy Industry Regulation from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, an MBA from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, and an Engineer's degree in Electrical Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo.
