Oscar Manuel Batres

Oscar Manuel Batres possesses extensive experience in international treasury and corporate finance, currently serving as Managing Director at The AES Corporation since December 2014, with roles that include Treasurer for Europe, Asia, and the Mexico, Central America, and Caribbean (MCAC) regions. Batres has also held significant positions such as Vicechairman of the Finance Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Panama from February 2020 to February 2022, and various roles at Citi from May 2004 to November 2014, culminating in the position of Vicepresident of Corporate & Investment Banking for the Central American and Caribbean regions. Batres holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Purdue University and an MBA from INCAE Business School, with additional education from Purdue University Daniels School of Business.
