Jeff Deaton has a work experience that spans over 30 years. Jeff started their career as an Engineering Co-op at Lever Brothers in 1991. Jeff then worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Komatsu from 1993 to 1995. In 1995, they joined Nissan North America as an Engineer and gradually moved up the ranks to become a Section Manager of Engineering, Senior Manager of Engineering, and eventually the Director of Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance. From 2007 to 2009, they served as the Senior Manager of Operations at Nissan North America. Jeff then transitioned to a role as a Project Manager and later as a Plant Manager at the EV Battery Plant. In 2019, they joined AESC as the Managing Director.

Jeff Deaton completed an MBA from Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, which they pursued from 1989 to 1995.
