Colton Willig, PhD

Colton Willig, PhD, is a skilled software engineer and data scientist with extensive experience in developing and optimizing software solutions and data analytics platforms. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Aetion since February 2020, Colton has successfully refactored legacy systems, developed product features in collaboration with epidemiologists, and mentored junior engineers. Prior roles include Senior Software Engineer at Aetion and Senior Data Scientist/Engineer at Starz, where Colton led major data ingestion initiatives and infrastructure implementations, as well as roles at TV Time, Music Audience Exchange, and IPT Global, demonstrating a strong background in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis. Colton holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA in Mathematics from Rice University.
