Huiyuan Liu

Huiyuan Liu is a seasoned Sr Optical System Engineer at Aeva since September 2022, previously holding the position of Sr Optical Engineer at Acacia Communications, now part of Cisco, from December 2020 to August 2022. Liu contributed to optical research and education as a Postdoctoral Fellow, Graduate Research Assistant, and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Central Florida between August 2013 and November 2020. Liu gained practical experience through internships at Nokia Bell Labs and Futurewei Technologies, focusing on high-speed optical transmission systems and advanced modulation techniques. Liu earned a Ph.D. in Optics/Optical Sciences from the University of Central Florida in 2018 and completed undergraduate studies at Tianjin University from 2009 to 2013.
