Joey Thomas

Joey Thomas has over 17 years of experience in various roles within the pharmaceutical industry. Joey most recently worked at Afaxys, Inc. as the Vice President of Technical Development and Operations. Prior to that, they held positions at BioDelivery Sciences International Inc (BD5) as the Director of Analytical Services and later as the Senior Director of Technical Operations. Joey also worked as the Director of Manufacturing Strategy and Operational Oversight at GlaxoSmithKline Pharma GmbH, and as the CMC Compliance and Operations Team Leader at GLAXOSMITHKLINE. Joey's earlier experience includes serving as the Associate Director of Formulation and Process Development at Stiefel, a GSK company, and as a Project Manager for GMP Compliance at Glades/Stiefel. Overall, Joey has demonstrated expertise in technical development, operations, analytical services, and formulation and process development within the pharmaceutical industry.

Joey Thomas completed a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree at East Carolina University from 1994 to 1998. Before that, from 1992 to 1994, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Organic Chemistry, also from East Carolina University. Furthermore, they have a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from East Carolina University.
