Peter Trew

Peter Trew is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the fuel cell and materials science sectors. Currently serving as a Senior MEA Engineer at AFC Energy plc since January 2022, Peter specializes in specifying and evaluating equipment for the mass production of fuel cell components. Prior to this role, Peter was the Lead Conversion Engineer at Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells from March 2001 to May 2022, focusing on the development of new materials and processes for fuel cells. Earlier in Peter's career, from March 1987 to March 2000, significant contributions were made as a Senior Scientist at Crown Cork and Seal Technology, where sustainable packaging solutions and barrier coatings were developed. Peter holds a BSC Eng Hons in Metallurgy and Materials Science from Imperial College and completed A Levels in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics at King Alfreds School and Sixth Form.
