Erel Avineri

Erel Avineri is a seasoned academic and professional in the fields of energy, transportation, and infrastructure systems. Currently serving as the Head of the M.Sc. Program in Energy and Power Systems Engineering and the M.Sc. Specialization in Engineering and Management of Infrastructure Systems at Afeka Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering since 2012, Erel Avineri is also a Professor and the Head of the ACITRAL - Afeka Center for Infrastructure Transportation and Logistics. As an Associate Editor for the Journal of Transport and Health since 2020, Erel Avineri has contributed significantly to the discourse on transport health issues. Previous positions include Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the University of the West of England, where expertise in travel behavior and integrated transport was honed. Erel Avineri's extensive experience also includes roles as a Lecturer and Independent Consultant, with a strong educational foundation comprising a PhD in Transportation Sciences from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and various other degrees and certifications in related disciplines.
