Li Zhang

Li Zhang has a diverse work experience in the field of neuroscience and pharmaceutical research. Li has held various roles in different companies, including AffaMed Therapeutics, where they currently serve as a Senior Director in Preclinical Research. Prior to that, they worked at Latigo Biotherapeutics, Inc. as a Senior Scientist, leading preclinical development projects and playing a key role in establishing the company. Li also worked at Amgen as a Scientist in Neuroscience, where they led target discovery efforts and provided pharmacology support for a migraine prevention therapy. Before that, Li Zhang worked at Dart NeuroScience LLC as a Scientist, leading research projects focused on EEG biomarker development and CREB target engagement. Additionally, they have experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Janssen, Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson and Johnson, contributing to the deorphanization of a novel GPCR. Li started their career as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Irvine School of Medicine, specializing in GPCR pharmacology and neuroscience research. Li Zhang received a Ph.D in Neuropharmacology from the University of California, Irvine, where they studied from 2003 to 2009. Prior to this, Li Zhang obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from Nanjing University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. In addition, Li Zhang obtained a certification in Artificial Intelligence Foundations: Thinking Machines from LinkedIn in 2018.
