Rhys Newton

Rhys Newton is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as an Improvement Engineer at AFFCO New Zealand Limited since September 2022. Previously, Rhys worked at TOMRA Fresh Food | BBC Technologies from March 2017 to September 2022, advancing through roles as Engineering Team Lead, Mechanical Design Engineer, and Field Services Engineer, managing engineering change processes and developing new products. Rhys holds a Bachelor of Engineering Honours in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Waikato, obtained from 2012 to 2016, and has foundational education from Pukekohe High School.
