Ken Meschke started out at Affiliated Engineers right out of school, in the Gainesville office. There he quickly developed the technical and project management skills that are the foundation of his work. Transferring to Madison, Ken became a Principal, providing on-going project leadership as well as managing internal operations. This part of his job includes empowering staff to grow professionally, helping to create a culture of openness, and fostering a sense of entrepreneurship in the office.
Actively engaged in the execution of projects, Ken leads teams designing many of the firm’s large-scale research and manufacturing facilities with Federal Government, Research, and pharma/biotech clients. He recently completed the one-million square foot plasma protein manufacturing campus in Georgia for Shire and the 400,000 square foot research institute for the Qatar Foundation in Doha. Ken is currently managing engineering for a new Cellular Dynamics International facility. Due to his experience meeting demanding FDA guidelines for the pharma/biotech industry, he is very knowledgeable about various agency design and construction guidelines and quality control protocols. He has completed multiple projects with BIPI, BIVI, Illumina, Johnson & Johnson, MilliporeSigma, and the U. S. Department of Homeland Security.
