Krista Murphy

Krista Murphy is the Managing Principal of the San Francisco office. She is a key driver of the 2020 Strategic Planning firmwide objective to be the Firm of First Choice for clients and employees. A licensed electrical engineer, she oversees the knowledge management development of AEI’s technical discipline company-wide teams (CWTs). Krista brings over 24 years of Bay Area master planning, project management and electrical design expertise to the higher education, national laboratory, healthcare and biotech clients. She managed the various electrical aspects of Stanford’s Energy Systems Innovation project, supports long range master planning efforts at Lawrence Berkeley National Labs, leads electrical infrastructure design work at UC Davis and UC Davis Health and works with many prominent life sciences developers promoting research space for the Bay Area’s rich life sciences industry. She is engaged with a variety of electrical power resiliency projects as California shifts toward electrification of facilities and transportation while simultaneously dealing with utility outages and the need to keep power continuity to critical operations.
