Tarik Dzekman

Tarik Dzekman has extensive experience in data science, technology, and user experience design. Tarik currently holds the position of Lead AI Engineer at Affinda, where they specialize in AI development. Before that, they worked as a Senior AI Engineer at the same company. Tarik has also co-founded Evolving Experience, a consulting company focused on creating innovative customer experiences through emerging technologies. Additionally, they co-founded Evolve Research App, where they served as the Data Science and Tech Lead. Tarik has previously worked as a Data Scientist at Qantas and held the position of CX Lead and Program Member at the company. Tarik has also worked as a Senior UX Designer at Cyber-Duck and WooliesX, where they contributed to eCommerce, customer experience, and service design projects. Furthermore, Tarik worked as a UX Lead at Readify and as a UX Consultant at Fairfax Media and the University of Wollongong. Tarik has also founded a startup called WhatIsThereToDo.com, which later became Stufftopia and Whatistheretodo.com, providing a platform for people to find activities worldwide.

Tarik Dzekman completed a Master of Data Science degree from UNSW between 2020 and 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Digital Media degree from UNSW from 2005 to 2007. Tarik's high school education was completed at Manly Selective High School from 1999 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, Tarik obtained a certification as a Deep Learning Researcher from Workera in December 2021.
