Emily Grandell has worked in a variety of roles in the research field. In 2018, they began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant with the Nguyen Research Group. In 2019, they took on a role as a Marketing and Development Intern with Junior Achievement of Southwest New England. In 2020, they began as a Graduate Research Assistant with the ReGame Laboratory, where they actively researched novel methods to quantify the affective impact of virtual reality for motor skill learning. In 2021, they became a Research Assistant at the Breakefield Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital. Finally, in 2022 they began as a Research Associate with Affinia Therapeutics.
Emily Grandell earned their Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 2020. Emily then continued their education and obtained their Master's degree in Bioengineering from Northeastern University in 2022.
