Michael Montoya

Michael Montoya is an experienced professional in data coordination and political organizing, currently serving as the Southwest District Data Coordinator for AFL CIO since July 2018. Previously, Montoya held the position of New Mexico Data & Targeting Manager at America Votes and State Voices, where responsibilities included integrating data systems into advocacy work and strategic planning. Additional experience includes serving as a board member for Southern Echo, Inc., and working as a Mass Base Political Organizer for the Southwest Organizing Project, focusing on campaign management and field operations. Montoya began their career as a Field Organizer for Martin Heinrich for Congress and has a Bachelor's Degree in Languages from The University of New Mexico.
