Ashvind K. Boobun has a diverse work experience in the banking and finance industry. Ashvind K. began their career in 2003 as a Market Risk Officer at SBM Bank, where they were responsible for assessing and managing market risks. In 2006, they joined the Central Electricity Board as a Treasury Officer, where they gained experience in treasury operations. In 2008, they joined Standard Bank (Mauritius) Ltd and held various roles, including Manager: Assets and Liabilities Management (ALM) and Manager: Money Markets & Fixed Income Dealer. During this time, they were responsible for managing the bank's liquidity, pricing and trading of treasury securities, and facilitating financial transactions. In 2014, Ashvind joined AfrAsia Bank Limited as the Chief Assets and Liabilities Management Officer, overseeing the bank's ALM function. In 2016, they assumed the role of Chief Analyst - Structuring at AfrAsia Bank Limited, where they currently work.

Ashvind K. Boobun completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in International Finance from the National University of Singapore from 1999-2002. Ashvind K. also holds the ACI Dealing Certificate from the Association de cambiste internationale.
