Mark Duerksen

Mark Duerksen is currently serving as a Strategic Communications Manager and Research Associate at Africa Center for Strategic Studies since July 2019. Prior to that, Mark was an Adjunct Professor at Hunter College from January 2019 to May 2019, where Mark instructed a graduate seminar on "The African Metropolis." Mark holds a Ph.D. in African Studies from Harvard University, a Master's Degree in African History from Harvard University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Political and Social Thought from the University of Virginia.
