Mike Ogbalu III FCIB serves as the CEO of the Pan African Payment Settlement System at African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) since March 2021, focusing on developing financial market infrastructure to enhance intra-Africa trade. With extensive experience in the financial sector, Ogbalu previously held CEO positions at Verve International and Interswitch Inclusion, where the latter concentrated on financial services for underserved populations. Ogbalu also led mobile financial services at First Bank of Nigeria Ltd, overseeing significant subscriber growth, and managed electronic banking initiatives at Ecobank Nigeria and Afribank Nigeria PLC.
