Alexis Teyie has a wide range of work experience. In 2020, they were a Co-founder at Magic Door, a Data & Technology Manager at The Global Development Incubator, and a Program Management at Fit for Purpose. In 2021, they became an Advisory Board Member at The Anzisha Prize, a Communications & Reporting Lead at African Leadership Group, and a Research & Learning Consultant at Mercy Corps. In 2020, they were a Researcher at Sense International and in 2019, they were an Associate at 60 Decibels and a Lean Data Associate at Acumen. Additionally, they were a Co-Founder & Editor at Enkare Review since 2016.
Alexis Teyie obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History and English from Amherst College. Alexis then went on to pursue a degree in Entrepreneurial Leadership and African Studies from The African Leadership Academy. Subsequently, they obtained a B.A. in African Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, U. of London. In addition, Alexis has obtained certifications in Storytelling for Change via +Acumen from The Ariel Group in April 2019 and Project Management for Development Professionals (PMD Pro) Level 1 from APMG International in July 2018.
