Ann provides core communication support to the CARTA program, driving the program’s communication and visibility efforts. Among others, she leads online engagement, media relations, CARTA’s brand building and oversees publication production. She also drives the programme’s policy engagement strategy, including the coordination of training and supporting engagement efforts at individual and programme level.
She is an all-rounded policy engagement and communications practitioner. Prior to joining APHRC, she worked at the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) where she supported the organization to develop and implement external and internal communications strategies. She has also worked at the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) as a data analyst in a Sexual and Gender-based Violence (SGBV) Project, offering communication, analytical and administrative support.
