Cavens Kithinji

Cavens coordinates CARTA program activities ensuring correct interpretation of strategies into action, liaison between teams, training and supporting trainers.

Cavens holds a Ph.D. in Project Planning and Management, specializing in monitoring and evaluation, and a master’s degree in the same, both from the University of Nairobi. He has a bachelor’s degree in education from Moi University.

Previously, Cavens worked in various stations as a teacher, trainer and administrator in high schools in Kenya before joining PAC University as a lecturer where he headed the Department of Community Development. He later moved to head the Administration and Planning Division of the university as the registrar for three and half years before joining APHRC.
