African Society for Social & Behavior Change
Kemigisha Elizabeth, MPH, is a seasoned professional in social and behavior change communication with extensive experience in knowledge management and capacity building. Currently serving as a Secretariat member at the African Society for Social & Behavior Change, Kemigisha co-chairs the inaugural Africa SBC Summit, uniting over 600 virtual attendees from various African nations. Previous roles include Knowledge Management Associate and Technical Specialist at WI-HER, LLC, where leadership involved organizing knowledge-sharing events and co-authoring key action plans. As Social Behavioral Change and Communications Coordinator at Population Services International, Kemigisha oversaw strategic direction for health product uptake across 50 districts. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Public Health from Uganda Martyrs University and a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Uganda Christian University.

Social behavioral change campaigns have the power to positively transform the lives of countless Africans. However, we noticed that most SBC interventions have a short lifespan and it was important to create a skilled community, a reference point(knowledge hub) to support sustainability as well as scalability of SBC innovations.
